Dear sir or madam,
I am one of the loyal readers of your newspaper and I am writing this letter to express my disagreement with an article published in your newspaper on 28th April 2019 about a documentary film on the development of tourism in Yun Nan province.
In this film, the director highlighted / showcased the lifestyles and culture of a famous village called Qunijing in that province. The villagers follow the lifestyle of their ancestors belonging to the Ming Dynasty. They perform all jobs by hand and refuse to use electricity and machines.
In your article, you questioned this, and expressed your opinion that this was fabricated by the film maker. In reality, this village has been isolated for about 600 years, and I saw this myself 2 years ago when I visited this place. Your article will not only misled tourists but also take a toll on the reputation of the directors of the film.
I think the readers of your article are those fans of traditional Chinese history, so this film really deserves their appreciation. By watching it and observing those people’s lifestyles, viewers can enhance their knowledge of conventional Chinese culture.
