IELTS SPEAKING INTERVIEW

PART – 1 INTRO

What is your full name?

My name is Choowaq Tafique.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Choowaq.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

Do you often (like to) listen to music? Or do you like listening to music?

So far I haven’t met anyone who dislikes music. However, when the workload is too heavy that requires me to stay highly focused, music is a huge distraction. Unlike many people who listen to instrumental music because it helps them focus, music makes me feel sleepy.

When do you listen to music?

Well, the whole world likes it, so I’m no exception. I usually listen to cheerful music when I need motivation and prefer sad ones, when I’m in a bad mood.

How much time do you spend listening to music every day?

As I’ve mentioned I prefer working in silence. To put it simply, I don’t listen to music during my working hours. After a long day at school, I probably want to chill out for like half an hour and music helps me to stay energetic.

What kinds of music do you like to listen to? Or What’s your favourite kind of music?

I prefer a range of music from Western to Eastern, and from the 90s to modern EDM. But if Korean pop is considered as a kind of music, then yeah, that’s my favourite. More than half of my playlists are Korean songs and I always keep myself updated with news related to Korean showbiz.

Have you ever been to a concert before? Or Have you ever been to a musical performance?

I attend concerts, once in a blue moon, since the ticket price for foreign artists’ concerts is out of my reach.  So I can only stay home and watch online. It was in 2014 that I finally did go to a concert on my own and it was an international music concert. It was absolutely mind-blowing and an unforgettable experience.

Do you like to listen to live music?

Unless it’s live at a coffee shop, where literally there is only music and me, then yeah I would love to. But I would change my mind if it’s a concert. The crowd is too crazy. It’s completely a mess most of the time and I end up with a severe headache.

A daily routine can help us stay organized, productive, and motivated throughout the day. My daily routine includes activities I enjoy, providing me with satisfaction and accomplishment.

Here I would like to talk about a daily routine that I enjoy and look forward to. My daily routine begins with waking up early, usually around 6:30 am. I then make myself a cup of coffee and spend some time reading the newspaper or listening to the radio.

After this, I will typically run around my neighbourhood and return home to shower and get dressed. I then have breakfast with my family and spend some time catching up on emails or any other tasks I need to do. After this, I will usually go to work or school, depending on the day.

My daily routine usually takes place in my home but can also take place in other locations such as my workplace or school. As mentioned before, I usually begin my routine around 6:30 am, which typically ends around 8:00 pm when I go to bed.  I usually do my daily routine alone, but I sometimes do it with my family. This is especially true for breakfast when my family and I come together.

I enjoy my daily routine because it helps me stay organized and productive throughout the day. Having a routine helps me stay focused on my tasks and goals for the day, and it also helps me stay motivated. Additionally, I enjoy spending time with my family during the morning breakfast, and the physical activity from my morning jog helps me stay in shape.

Overall, my daily routine is something that I look forward to each day, and it helps me stay on track.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

Should children have learning routines?

Yes, of course, they should have learning routines. These add discipline to life. When children follow routines, they learn to manage time. I believe all routines teach something, so it can be a learning experience. For example, a simple family meal routine can teach children many things when they share their day’s happenings with their parents. They learn many social skills and develop a bond with their family. A routine of going to bed in time can develop children’s mental health.

What are the advantages of children having a routine at school?

There are many advantages of having routines at school. It gives students a predictable day at school. So, they feel more confident and secure. It also saves time. They don’t have to ask questions about what to do next. Teachers have already streamlined things for them. It becomes easier for students to become focused and attentive.

Does having a routine make kids feel more secure at school?

Definitely yes. For younger children, a routine engages them in learning and helps them feel safe in their environment, while it helps older children know what to expect and feel more comfortable. This is why classroom routines are important. Routines in the classroom make class time more enjoyable and productive. They offer students a sense of stability. By having classroom rules and procedures that teachers set, their students will know their expectations.
