IELTS Speaking Interview

Here, I would take this opportunity to talk about a robot that I came across during my visit to a restaurant last year.

As we know that during the covid pandemic, there were restrictions, and the hotels and restaurants were shut down for a long time when they opened t government-imposed restrictions, especially the contactless service. One of the restaurants in my city became extremely popular during this time to ensure contactless service; this restaurant appointed a robot.

What the robot can do?

Out of curiosity, we friends visited this place and had a wonderful experience. Upon reaching, we were welcomed by a massive man-sized robot with a robotic voice, and this machine escorted us. It was a unique experience to place the order as we could see everything on the menu, and with voice command,

we could place the order, and the robot instantly confirmed the order, and in about 15 minutes, the food was ready and the robot came back carrying the food just as human waiters do and place it on the table. The interesting thing is that the robot had an additional carrying the sanitizer to assist the visitors in sanitizing their hands prior to and after the meal. We had a wonderful experience having food at this place, and to keep the memory of our visit; we took a selfie with this robot that the restaurant called jack.

Why you liked it? and Conclusion:

Jack could instantly listen to your commands, and if you need anything, you simply call jack, and he appears in a flash. This robot is still there in this restaurant, and many people, just to experience how it works, visit this restaurant and have their meals. I believe that such machines or robots will become quite popular and common in future as well because they help to reduce the chances of errors, at the same time save the cost of the restaurant owners. Overall, it was a robot that I really liked.

Question 2:- Do you want to take a car in which the robot is the driver?

Answer –No, I wouldn’t risk my life by deploying a robot for driving purposes. I would do it by myself rather than being dependent on an artificial machine because I believe that robots might use their power during the drive, and terror a high chance that they might lose their charging so it would be a hazardous situation if such an instance occurs during the drive.
