IELTS SPEAKING INTERVIEW

PART – 1 INTRO

What is your full name?

My name is Gursewak Singh.

How may I address you?

You may address me as Gursewak.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

Have you ever littered?

Never in my entire life, even a small piece of candy wrapper. I know how such a small action can have a big impact on the environment. That is why my bag or jacket’s pockets are always full of liters after being backed home from somewhere outside.

Why do people liter?

Without hesitation, they may throw things like plastic bottles or cups in public places if a trash bin cannot be found. However, some may even liter right next to a bin, so I believe littering has become a habit of many people.

IELTS Speaking Interview

How do you feel about that?

I often get very furious. I still remember a time seeing a man throwing a plastic cup of milk tea. At that time, I wish I could have enough courage to tell him pick it up and put into the bin. There is no reason to damage the environment with such a lack of awareness.

Do you remember your dream when you wake up?

No, for most of the time. That is why there were mornings I got up with pity for forgetting all the beautiful dreams I had the night before. However, sometimes I have nightmares too, and it is a good idea not to remember them at all.

IELTS Speaking Interview

Do you like hearing others’ dreams?

Yes, most of the dreams I have heard from others are funny stories, so they are so entertaining. Being chased by a cow or flying after a helicopter are some of my little brother’s dreams that used to bring me a good laugh.

PART – 2 CUE CARD

Describe an advertisement you like.

You should say:

– what type of advertisement it is

– what product or service it advertises

– where and when you first saw it

and explain why you like it and think that this advertisement is effective.

IELTS Speaking Interview

Model Answer 1:

Most of the time, I think that advertisements are just a waste of time because they don’t really do any good for the general public. But, then, suddenly we come across an advertisement, which forces us to think otherwise, just as I was also forced to think like that about a couple of years ago.

It is an advertisement about “tea” – drinking tea that is. By the way, I would say that it was one of the best advertisements I had ever seen in a long, long time, as it was made in a very clear manner to deliver a clear message in the form of having some light jokes and conversation.

IELTS Speaking Interview

I saw this advertisement on television for the first time about a year ago or so. In the advertisement, a stage is perfectly set for an enjoyable evening for 4 people, including two wives and two husbands. They were all busy talking and laughing with each other while enjoying some snacks at the same time. Then, it was time for some hot tea in order to conclude the evening time to get together for the day.

So, anyway, when everybody was busy pouring sugar into their cup full of tea while zooming in on the brand name of the tea, they noticed that one of the wives was not taking any sugar. When asked, why the lady was not taking any sugar, she smilingly answered that she always likes to keep her sugar and husband under control. After that joke, everybody burst out in laughter.  And, with that laughter, the advertisement was concluded.

Anyway, I really like the advertisement and find it effective, mainly because it is trying to deliver a very clear message to its audience about controlling their sugar consumption also in order to check their diabetes while enjoying their tasty tea as much as they can. I like the advertisement also because it revealed a very sweet but age-old rivalry between a husband and wife as to “who gets to control who” in a romantic relationship.

Answer:- yes, of course, there are a number of inappropriate adverts broadcasting on the television. For example: in an advertisement, a youngster uses perfume and many girls attract him. apart from it, a boy drinks and he becomes able to drive his car in a horrible situation like a  tsunami. But, on the other hand, a segment of society believes that such ads like a condom are not provocative because it plays an instrumental role in sex education for growing children.

IELTS Speaking Interview

Question:- Why does the government allow such ads?

Answer:- Well, according to my perspectives, governments allow these adverts only to earn a huge amount of money as well as, models who hire by companies for inappropriate ads also earn money in high quantity.

Question:- Do parents complain about it?

Answer: Yes definitely, parents should complain about provocative ads such as condom because these types of advertisements leave a bad impact on children’s minds.
