How do you usually contact your friends? [Why?]
I usually contact my friends by phone or email if they are far from me because it is more convenient and easy than meeting them in person. However, if my friends live within the close proximity of where I live, I always try to meet them in person because the practice helps create a stronger bond of friendship.

Do you prefer to contact different people in different ways? [Why?]
No, I don’t try to contact different people in different ways. My preferred method of contacting people, be they my friends, family members or relatives, is to call them on their phones because it helps me to convey my message and feeling in a more direct and effective manner. Of course, if there is a situation where no phone number is listed to reach, and if somebody prefers me to contact him/her by email for more formal reasons, then I don’t mind using email to contact them.
Do you find it easy to keep in contact with friends and family? [Why/Why not?]
With the advent of mobile phones and the internet, contacting friends and families has certainly become very, very easy. In fact, contacting with friends and family has become much more personal also these days because we can not only talk with them but also “view” them at the same time on our phones or computers, no matter whether they live next door or in another corner of the world.

In your country, did people in the past keep in contact in the same ways as they do today? [Why/Why not?]
No, people in my country didn’t exactly keep in contact with each other in the same ways in the past as they do today. In fact, in the past and before the arrival of smartphones and the internet, people used to contact each other via postal mail and land phones. And, if there was a situation where one would need to contact others on an urgent basis in the past, people would choose to take the help of “telegram” as well.

I am a party lover. I am very popular among my friends and family to make every party a huge success.
I have been to many parties where I enjoyed a lot. One of the parties which I can never forget was a reception party of my best friend.
Last year my best friend got hitched to love of his life. Our whole friend circle was very happy and excited for his wedding as we all witnessed his struggle to get married with that girl. It was a thrilled journey with lots of ups and downs and finally, they both managed everything and tied a knot.
My friend threw his reception party in Goa, a place known for its most happening parties around the world. Goa was on top in all of ours bucket list. We always wanted to visit Goa along with friends. However, unusually, college days had been very hectic for us and after that all of us got busy in our professional lives.

We could not get an opportunity to plan a visit to Goa together. To keep in mind all of ours dream to visit Goa, my friend decided to throw that party in Goa. On a sunny day, at one of the most famous beaches of Goa, all the preparations were made to celebrate this auspicious occasion. We were all gathered there to be a part of his new journey.
His wedding reception became a great reason for all one of us to meet with each other after a long time. We spent a quality time there. That party had all the arrangements to cater the need of every age group of people. We enjoyed his reception party thoroughly as well as relived our college life moments.

What are the main reasons why people organise family parties in your country?
In my country, “families” are typically valued as the foundation of our civilization. Therefore, in my humble opinion, we should regard it as our duty to nurture and support a stable family life in whatever way we can. Thankfully, the majority of people in my country are aware of this crucial component of our societal stability, and they decide to show it by planning various parties for special occasions like weddings, wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and religious holidays.
In some places, people spend a lot of money on parties that celebrate special family events. Is this ever true in your country? Do you think it is a good trend or a bad trend?
Despite my reluctance to acknowledge it, the truth is that similar events are happening in my country as well, which wasn’t the case even a few years ago. The fact that so many wealthy people spend a significant amount of money on such events bothers me. According to me, occasionally being a part of this kind of trend may provide us with some momentary satisfaction, but it doesn’t bode well for the development and durability of a healthy society because it just serves to emphasise the money-oriented aspect of life.

Are there many differences between family parties and parties given by friends? Why do you think this is?
The answer, however, depends on the activities we engage in at these gatherings and what their true end objectives are. To be more specific about the distinction, when friends organise a party, they are attended only by friends, in order to enjoy some cheerful, enjoyable, and light moments in a setting that is somewhat informal. On the contrary, family gatherings are typically attended by people from all walks of life who want to spend time together in a more formal setting.
