FLIGHT VOCABULARY

Aisle: Corridor between the rows of seats on a plane.

Sentence: He was in no hurry to walk down the aisle.

Chartered flight: Flight on a chartered or hired plane.

Cockpit: The front of the aircraft where the pilot sits and flies the plane.

Off-peak: A time period that is less busy (and tickets are usually cheaper

Steward/stewardess: Personnel on board a plane.

Sentence: The stewardess hurried the passengers onto the plane

Stopover: A temporary stop during a long journey.

Sentence: The city is a favorite stopover for tourists
