WHAT TO BRING ON IELTS TEST DAY?

Give yourself plenty of time to take the test. Before you may enter the examination room, you must register and show your passport or National ID card. Make sure you have enough time to complete the required security procedures and check in. Get a cup of coffee or go for a walk if you arrive early. You won’t be let inside if you arrive late. Stay clear of the extra stress of having to hurry.

Nothing personal may be brought into the testing area. Employees on test day will gather and safely keep your personal items. The following items are not allowed in the testing area: cell phones, laptops, cameras, caps, scarves, wallets, novels, or notes.

The only form of identification recognized at the examination center is your valid, current passport. When you get to the IELTS test site, your identity will be examined. It is required for the entirety of the test, including the speaking, writing, and listening/reading sections. Additionally, it is the only form of identity that is allowed throughout the IELTS exam registration process.

It is imperative that the identity document you present for the examination matches the one you filed with the examination application. Don’t forget to take a color photocopy of the passport’s front and rear pages. IELTS examination centers will not admit candidates without a valid photo ID.

The following items must be brought to the examination center:

– two recent, identical passport-sized photos of yourself

– These photos are required in the case that the one you provided with your registration form is unclear. If this happens, you will have to submit a fresh photograph at the initial ID check on the day of the examination.

– A printout of the email confirmation that you received from the British Council to the email address you registered with when you registered for the IELTS test. The entry to the speaking, writing, listening, and reading exams is marked with this printout.

– A few stationary items, like an eraser, pencils, sharpener, and ballpoint pen in black or blue.

– A little translucent water bottle without of labels. At other centers, though, it might not be required because plans would have been made to offer exam candidates with refreshments and drinking water, among other necessities.

– There is nothing more that needs to be brought to the testing locations than the things listed above.

Examinees may only have a pen or pencil, an eraser, and their ID on their desks while taking the test. Raise your hand to seek for assistance if you have any questions during the test. You must raise your hand to get the invigilator’s notice if you need to use the restroom during the test. Make an effort not to bother the other contenders while doing this.

Make sure you can hear the tape when you take the listening exam. Raise your hand and inform the invigilator if you are unable to do so. Please remember that you will have ten minutes to transfer the answers on your answer sheet following the Listening part, but not after the Reading section. Therefore, be sure to record your answers on your Reading answer sheet as soon as you finish each section.

It is strictly forbidden for you to take any question papers, response scripts, working papers, or other provided materials out of the examination room. Your test results will be withheld and the institution or professional organization you may have nominated to receive your findings will be notified if you violate any of the aforementioned guidelines.
